All hands on deck!!!

Postby Nelly » Fri Dec 14, 2012 4:12 pm

I know it's the Holiday Season and we're all busy,... but if you care about the current, positive direction of our fisheries management... It's time for the recreational fishermen to show up...in big numbers!!!

The meeting including Columbia River (9:00am) Saturday and Shrimp Policy adoption has been moved to the Comfort suites Conference Center in Tumwater (See Press Release below)

The State is expecting a large group of Commercials, and we need a strong representation of Recreationals to listen and then make public comment after the briefing. The Commercials are making a last stand effort and we need SERIOUS SPORTFISHERMEN SUPPORT!!

In addition, the adoption of the increased Puget Sound recreational shrimp allocation is about 12:30 Saturday

Thanks for reading this and listening! Here is the Press Release.

Fish and Wildlife Commission changes meeting location

OLYMPIA - The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission has changed the location of a public meeting scheduled Friday and Saturday (Dec. 14-15) to provide more seating.
The citizen commission, which sets policy for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), is now scheduled to meet at the Comfort Inn Conference Center in Tumwater, 1620 74th Ave. SW.
WDFW is scheduled to brief the commission on a number of issues, including a proposed plan to restructure salmon and sturgeon fisheries on the Columbia River.
