Coho Fun

Went out to the North shore of Noyes for the big king but didn't catch any derby winners. We had put several fish in the box and had a good morning. Decided to head in and make a stop to check on the cohos at a little Island we hadn't fished before. We fished for an hour and picked up a half dozen cohos and were ready to head in. Brought the cut plug up and a coho smacked it just below the surface and went crazy and spit the hook back at us. We were chuckling at the show he put on and the bare hooks were on the surface. We watched the fish spin around and come back and grab the bare hooks. Since he insisted on coming on board we gave him a ride in the fish box. Cohos just having a way about them for making good stories and putting a grin on your face.

I'm going to miss coho fishing in the Puget Sound this fall.
