Driftfish Reiter

Nice show and congrats on the new forum.
However, the notion that bobber fishing is the way to go at Reiter is silly.
The attitude that comes with the bobber boys is even more silly.
I like to fish among them, they leave a lot of water untouched.
My Sage lets me feel every chew and tug.
It's understandable for those who have trouble with knots but why give up the chance to FEEL THE BITE?

Both techniques work well at Reiter. Floats and jigs seem to work better on the inside among the boulders and drifting works well on the outside. Drifting under a float Canadian style can work just about anywhere. If everyone cooperates with each other any technique can be fun. When hatchery zones such as Reiter get crowded and frusterating there are many ways to think outside of the box. There are many nooks and crannys nearby Reiter that hold fish or haven't been fished a certain way. This has always paid off for me in the past.

Like CC said, if you're only using one method you're missing fish.

That's kind of what I was referring to...when it's fricking elbow-to-elbow crowded there it's tough to do anything but boober fish. I agree with you fellars though about switching it up. Sometimes getting "down town" and close to the bottom will get steelhead to bite that've been watching jigs whiz by overhead all day long.
