Guided Trips

Postby schmausr » Mon Dec 14, 2015 3:23 pm

Hi all-

I travel a lot for work and try to stay a day in each location to play on the water. Has anyone done any trips in the following locations? Any suggestions on booking a guide?

Phoenix AZ
Los Angeles CA
San Diego CA
New York NY
Dallas TX

Help me make these work trips less lame!!

Thanks in advance.

Wow, you just asked a mouthful!
I'll start with what I know for sure and ask others on the board to chime in:

San Diego: Long ranging on the Royal Polaris http://royalpolaris.com/

New York: Try Montauk http://www.montauksportfishing.com/

Dallas: Has to be Lake Fork http://www.lakeforkfishingguideservice.com/

That's a start and you are on your way to an enviable fishing itinerary! Good Luck cheers

San Diego - Great long range fishing out of San Diego for tuna. If your schedule only allows for a short day trip in San Diego you might try either yellowtails or calico bass in the kelp.

New York - Montauk for stripers and possibly blue fish. They also catch some tuna out of there at certain times of the year. I have some guests that keep a boat in Montauk...they do well on stripers and tuna out of there.

That'll all I've got. You'll have to do some research on guide. Plenty of guides and charter boats in both places thumbup
