Rating 2010-2011 Steelhead Season

This season continues to be consistent. A group of friends and I got together over the last several days and had some really good fishing. Some rivers are chalked full of steelhead right now with a few bigguns' to boot! I will say this, if you don't make time for steelhead this season you are missing one of the finest seasons I've seen in a very long time.

Nice plug takedown When I filmed with Fisherman's Heaven way too long ago they had a stainless camera stand that went on the back of the driftboat that was about 6 feet tall. I bet Mingo remembers that. Would be cool to rig one of those and grab footage of some steely plug crushers

I do remember the fishermans heaven plug takedown scene. Think I watched it 10 times or so. That was on the Sauk if I'm not mistaken?

Somewhere like that. The best was when Mingus was sound asleep and his rod gets ripped. Kevin jumped across and grabbed it and wouldn't give it back. All on film...classic

Man I love steelheading. So sickening to see all the closures
