Hey Bill,
The first Puget Sound opener is Saturday May 6 and then possibly a second opener on the 10th.
Stay tuned, we'll be doing a segment on that with that WDFW shellfish manager this Saturday. cheers

Pretty messed up by WDFW to make the shrimp opener the same day as the halibut opener, yet not many are talking about that.

Thanks for the update! Yeah very odd for them to just have one opening day and possible second day? Hali opening on May 4th, but still the first weekend Saturday. I will look for your segment on Saturday. Whatever happen to Area 13? :?: why did they start limited that area. It use to be the full month of May.

I also think the Halibut/Shrimp overlap is a horrible idea. With a paltry number of days for both, it stinks to be pushed toward picking one or the other.

Hey the official days are now posted... I wonder who was the genius that made it overlap? They should of at least pushed it to Sunday! bangheadwall LAF!!

Note the late start time, and early closure in MA-10 9:00-1:00 Saturday. Not very well advertised. Will be interesting to see how many pots are in the water at the normal 7:00 am time Saturday morning.

Good eye Chromer!
Nice catch on the regs there. It's good to make that catch than be caught. spy
