Lake Washington to open for coho fishing Sept. 16 | WDFW News Release

So what is the drill nelly. What is the best strategy for this opportunity?

I take it they will be coming in around lake union, how close can we get?

What bait will trigger a bite once they are in the lake?

What is the pattern historically for finding the fish?

I wanna take a shot at them, even if it is a long shot!

Thanks,
-Pete-

Anyone know if there are any hook regulations for this coho drill.

Also, is it wild coho only?

Thanks,
Pete

Hey P,
Sorry for the late reply,
Out of the kayak, I would target these fish in Kenmore at the mouth of the Sammamish or launch at the Arboretum and hit Webster point.
Early morning, it's cut plugs and wiggle warts and later in the day your going to need downriggers.
Puget sound coho gear works well and good luck! It's opening day!
